Solid Weekend...

So, this past weekend was quite entertaining to say the least. Saturday, I decided to make the trek to Pickerington to hang out with Amanda and her family for the day. It was basically a night full of competitions, drinking, and frying just about anything we could find (e.g. cookie dough, apples, candy bars, ect...) Unfortunately, I had a poor showing in corn hole (I blame the alcohol), but I made up for that with a decent showing in Wii bowling and spelling bee competition. Who knew "acupuncture" only had one "c" following the "a"? Eh well...in my mind, I am still a gud speller.

Anywho, I got home yesterday (Sunday) and was completely exhausted from the fun filled weekend. Therefore, I didn't really feel like leaving my bed. My Mama had rented "Slumdog Millionaire", so after my little 2 hour nap I decided to watch the flick. I am not gonna lie, despite all of the awards this movie had received, I was a little reluctant to watch it. I just didn't think it would be a movie I would enjoy. Well, as you may have already guessed, I was wrong. I thoroughly enjoyed this movie and the thought provoking message of hope that it sent. There are opportunities for ALL individuals despite where they are born and how much money one has. Talent lies where you least expect it. In life, people are going to try and hold you down and keep you from achieving your goals and dreams. With determination, motivation and focus you can overcome these challenges and obstacles in life and love. Slumdog Millionaire was a great movie with a powerful message and I recommend it to anyone who has not yet had the chance to see it.

In other news...Michael Vick is back in business, the Indians are on a 4-game winning streak and Erin Andrews is still HOT!

Tennis Player Beats Drug Suspension

Richard Gasquet, a French Tennis player, was suspended in May after a urine sample he provided at a tournament tested positive for cocaine. Today, after 2 months and 15 days, Gasquet is free to rejoin the tour after he was originally supposed to serve a one year suspension. How did he get out of the doghouse, you ask?

...ready for this?

He told officials the reason he tested positive for cocaine was because he kissed a woman who had cocaine on her lips. Yes, it worked...Now I dont know which is worse, the fact that the ITF panel has bought this excuse or the fact that Gasquet was swappin spit with a crack whore.

This really got me thinking...what the hell was I thinking when I was arrested not once but twice for underage consumption. "Im sorry ocifer, I swear I didn't drink anything, I was just bumpin uglies with that really drunnnk 21 year old!" I mean, seriously, I now know that the more far fetched the excuses are the more effective they are. With that said, I can't wait to blame a strip club and a busted-ass-crack-whore next time I forget to turn in a paper. Screw the whole "my dog ate my homework" routine, that shits played out...

T-Woods Underrated?

"The more I think about it, the more I feel Tiger Woods is the most underrated player on this tour." Those are the recent words of Paul Goydos. Now I know what you are thinking...who is this comedian? But you are wrong...Paul Goydos is a professional golfer on the PGA tour, but his golf game is about as big of a joke as his one liners.

Tiger Woods is underrated...I am still trying to comprehend that statement. Lets analyze Tiger Woods career for a brief second...

68 PGA Tour Wins including 14 Majors

22 Defended Titles

24 Runner up finishes

17 Third place finishes

9 time PGA Player of the Year

Has won 29% of his professional events (68-245)

$86,914,539 Career Earnings (and no...I did not forget a decimal)

18 Hole-in-ones (First one was at the age of 6)

Has his own video game

and not to mention...is married to the beautiful swedish model, Elin Nordegren...

You know what Paul...I think you may be right...how dare we over look this guy that people call Tiger?

In all seriousness, Goydos' man crush on Tiger is the biggest I have seen since Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal. Tiger Woods is about as underrated in golf as Michael Jackson was/is in the entertainment industry. If it wasn't for Tiger Woods, golf wouldn't have near the amount of exposure it has now in pop culture.

Maybe a more reasonable debate would be whether Tiger is the greatest golfer of all-time. While I am not able to accurately answer this question, it brings up an interesting question. How would Tiger have managed in the 70's? With competition like Jack Nicklaus and shittier equipment. I mean, technically he's not the best until he reaches 18 Majors, which there is no doubt in my mind he will do. My personal opinion is that Tigers talent would more than make up for the equipment disadvantage in the 70's and when all is said and done, he will be recognized as the greatest golfer to ever play the game. One thing is for sure, this cat (pun intended...think about it...) is far from being underrated.
I will leave ya with this little video of Tiger doin his thing...

First and Foremost...

I would like to thank everyone who has decided to check out my blog and the nonsense I have to talk about. The reason I have decided to start up this blog is mainly for entertainment purposes and to cure my boredom from time to time. I plan to talk about a plethora of topics ranging from humourous happenings in my life to current events and most likely many sports topics, because thats how I roll. I appologize if this gets off to a slow start, I am new to this whole blogging thing, but I will be trying to keep it up-to-date as much as possible. Once again, if you decide to read this then I appreciate it...if not, then, well...screw you...
